Florida Steel Guitar Club

Report for April 9, 2008 Meeting/Jam at Catfish Johnny’s Restaurant, Lake Panasoffkee, Fl.

Next meeting/jam will be Wednesday, May 14, 2008

 1.  Thanks to all for attending – the Steelers, the backup band and the guests.   Ernie Cawby brought his new keyless D-10 Williams guitar that he just got.  Nice guitar, Ernie!  We have to say good bye to some of our Winter Residents but we look forward to seeing them again in the fall.

 2.  We miked all the amps in March so the backup band could hear everyone.  It was a success and we did it again this month.  We will continue to do that each month, using one of my SM57 mikes.

 3.  Fred Thompson will be going into Moffitt Cancer Center for surgery, probably this month.  I’ll report any update that I get.  Please keep Fred on your prayer list.

 4.  Another reminder to keep your e-mail address up to date.  E-mail is the only way of notifying or contacting most club members.   If you have an e-mail change, send it to me ASAP.

 5.  A copy of this report, as usual, will be posted on the club web site and you can access it at www.floridasteelguitarclub.com

 6.  Thanks to Don Sulesky for keeping the jam going and for documenting the jam (pickers list below).
